Springbank Park along the Thames River in London, Ontario

London, Ontario

Known as “The Forest City,” London is Southwestern Ontario’s largest city, set where the north and south branches of the Thames River meet. Tree-lined streets, riverside parks and the Thames Valley Parkway trail system give the city a green, relaxed character, while a lively downtown offers restaurants, boutiques, Covent Garden Market and the historic Grand Theatre.

London is home to Western University, Fanshawe College and major research hospitals, and was named Canada’s first UNESCO City of Music in 2021. Homes range from Victorian and Edwardian brick in Old North and Wortley Village to established family neighbourhoods in Byron, executive homes in North London, modern downtown condos and new construction in Lambeth – all about two hours from Toronto via Highway 401.
